Welcome to the Guardian 3.0 Beta Program

We’d like to thank you for participating in the Guardian Beta Program. This release includes all fixes from previous Guardian Releases, an updated web services engine, as well as approximately 50 bug fixes. For a complete list of bug fixes contained in this release, please see the release notes.

To ensure beta participation proceeds as seamlessly as possible, we ask that you to install the executable (not a production server) and verify that it installs properly. Then provide your feedback via the beta support email address. With your valuable feedback, we can accelerate the general availability of this release.

IMPORTANT: The primary focus of this beta is to insure that noted bugs are fixed and to find what, if any, new bugs have been introduced. Doing so will help us isolate issues that are relevant to the new updater code. The sooner we are able verify that the Beta does not introduce new issues, the sooner we can release these fixes to the rest of the Guardian community.

Next Steps

1. See the Release Notes for installation instructions and a list of fixed issues.

2. To download the appropriate installer for your configuration, copy and paste the following link into your browser: ftp://guardian3@sxfr1.gryphonnetworks.com
3. Try running existing Guardian files and note any new issues you think have been introduced by the beta release.
4. Verify that issues addressed by the beta work as documented.
5. Provide feedback via the online beta email address guardianbeta@gryphonnetworks.com.
